Our Approach

When replacement is the right answer, our estimates are itemized. If rotten decking turns up once the old roof is off, we photograph it and show you before replacing it at a per-sheet price already set in the contract.

Some habits are simply how we build a roof. Flashing at walls and chimneys is replaced with the roof rather than reused, attic ventilation is checked on every replacement, and gutters are sized and pitched with the roof so water moves away from the foundation. Where solar panels are on the roof, their removal and reinstall are scheduled from the start.

We also try to make the paperwork as clear as the roofing. Contracts follow New Jersey’s home improvement rules, including the three-day cancellation notice, and every estimate says whether the job is permit work and how state sales tax applies. In townhouse, condominium and 55+ communities, we check who holds the roof before writing any estimate.

After a storm, we photograph and write up the damage for the owner’s own claim, and a member of the crew will meet the adjuster on site if asked. Sellers can get a written roof condition report to hand to a buyer’s inspector. And at the end of every working day, the driveway, yard and gutters are cleaned, with a magnet sweep for stray nails.
